Apple Crumble

Apple Crisp Recipe

  • Slice up 6-8 apples (cooking apples work best and if you have two or three kinds of apples, that is even better) and place in a glass pan.
  • Sprinkle apples with a couple teaspoons of water and a teaspon of cinnamon.

Mix together the following:

  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of flour (unbleached white, if possible)
  • 1/2 cup of butter (that is one stick)

A few pulses of the blender work great or mix by hand but be careful not to overmix.  It should be in small chunks or crumbles (hence, the name) and not totally blended. 

Sprinkle mix gently on top of the apples.

Cook for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees.

This apple crisp recipe works exceptionally well with fresh peaches!
